I know it's been a very long time since I've posted. I was really young when I started this account and though my love for reading and books have not changed, my personality and everything has.

I've decided that I will no longer post on this account that I do not think represents who I am now.

It's brand new so it the only post right now is just my latest read. However, I may be posting reviews of books I've read since I last updated this blog.

Again, it will mostly focus on YA books but my range has gotten a lot wider and I will be reading more than just young adult fiction.

For what you can expect: Mostly the same content as this blog (aka Book Reviews).
I'm going to a huge clearance book sale this week actually so I'll likely do a book haul where I show what I got, why, and how I'm feeling about reading it.
I'm also in the middle of writing a book. It's mostly for fun and I'll be uploading it on wattpad once I'm done with it but I'd love to take you on the journey.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. He has no recollection of his parents, his home, or how he got where he is. His memory is empty.But he's not alone. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning, for as long as anyone can remember, the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night, for just as long, they've closed tight. Every thirty days a new boy is delivered in the lift. And no one wants to be stuck in the Maze after dark.

The Gladers were expecting Thomas' arrival. But the next day, a girl is sent up- the first girl ever to arrive at the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. The Gladers have always been convinced that if they can solve the maze that surrounds the Glade, they might find their way home... wherever that may be. But it's looking more and more as if the Maze is unsolvable.

And something about the girl's arrival is starting to make Thomas feel different. Something is telling him that he just might have some answers- if he can only find a way to retrieve the dark secrets locked within his own mind.

Characters: I love the characters, I honestly had no problems with any of them. Even the bad characters I just loved to hate them. The only teeny problem I had was that there were too many characters. One thing I really liked about them though was that they all had different personalities. The main characters were so amazing that I learned to love them in such a short amount of time.


Plot: The plot is my favorite part, it was full of surprises that I never expected. It took me only a couple paged for me to get really into the book and the writing style was amazing. The pace was good too it wasn't too fast yet it wasn't too slow. I loved learning about the world even though there were moments that I was kind of confused.

Overall: Overall this is one of my favorite books. Five stars! Incredible but I just wish those parts that left me confused would have been more clear, and for trilogies I'm usually a fan of the first and second books to have cliff hangers but this one (for me) didn't have one for that kind of left me disappointed.

Characters: The characters was my least favorite part of the book for me. I hated all of them. They got on my nerves and I frankly didn't care about any of them or what happened to them. I liked the main character though. But sometimes she seemed a bit selfish. However I did start to like the characters later on....in the last 20 pages! There was little character development and to me this is what really brought down the story.

Plot: The plot was very interesting and full of mystery and suspence that kept me reading until the last page, I loved how fascinating and unique this story was and I was left surprised in all the chapters as Lauren Kate reveals little by little the story. It is a dark story but not so that it will keep you up at night. I hated putting this book down, it was so addicting! The writing style was beautiful! I loved it, just the right amount of discription. And a lot of new creatures that were very creative.

Overall: Overall this book was really good. I would reccomend it. But the thing that brought it down a few stars and for that reason I am giving it 3 stars is the characters. Absolutely horrific, but I hope in the next installment everything is better. Sorry for the short review, promise next time I'll try to make it larger ;)

Characters: The characters in this book, I felt were really plain, you didn't really get to know anything of how they were. How they thought. Just how you saw them on the outside and I felt the author didn't really give them a personality. Louise got on my nerves a lot in this story and sometimes I just wanted to reach through the book and give her a good shake. Though later on she improved. So this story had good character development. There were a lot of characters that I felt could've been given more time in the spotlight like Benjiman Guggehiem, but I felt that after a while she just got...bored with the characters and dropped them.

Plot: The plot had a good forming idea. I liked the idea of a time traveling dress but I just didn't like the way it was preformed. It just felt to rushed. The story itself felt rushed. I admit at times there were interesting moments but later on they became irrevelent. I felt that at times the author contradicted herself. There were moments where I just felt bored and it was obvious that the scenes were just plot fillers. Near the end I felt that I got more attatched to the characters but by then it was too late. I did like all the fashion snipets throughout the book, me being quite the fashionista myself. The pacing was fast and the writing style was very simple. I also liked that we found out what happened to all the lives of the people she met while on the Titanic. Also I think when she found out that she was on the Titanic, I was supposed to feel surprised. But that was the greatest disappointment of it all. I already knew, the summary gave it away.

Overall: Overall it wasn't the best book I've read. It had its downsides but I think it had its fair amounts of upsides. I know there will be a second book though I feel it would've been best if she left it at this book, it concluded very nicely. I just wish I could've enjoyed it more and I hope if you want to give it a chance you will. Who knows? Maybe this is your new favorite book.
